Sloped ceilings and skylights change where a shower head, a niche and a fan can go, so we plan both rooms before a quote is written. Large-format porcelain with a soft vein runs through both rooms, over a new waterproofing membrane. Both rooms appear in the videos and photos below. A Freestanding Bath Under a Sloped Ceiling
The family bathroom sits under the roof line. We placed the freestanding bath under the lowest part of the ceiling, where nobody needs standing height, and built a tiled niche above it for soaps and bottles.
Floor-to-ceiling marble-look porcelain keeps the room light. A floating timber vanity with a vessel basin sits opposite, with wall-mounted tapware and chrome towel bars.
Underfloor heating was discussed with the owners and left out. Ask about it at your site visit, because it has to go in before the floor is tiled.

A Walk-In Ensuite Shower Under a Skylight
The ensuite shower runs under a skylight in the sloped ceiling, so daylight reaches the shower. A single frameless glass panel keeps it open, and a linear drain along the wall lets the floor tiles run through without a tray.
Two recessed niches hold the bottles. A chrome wall mixer and rail shower suit the low ceiling, and a wall-hung vanity with an integrated basin leaves the floor clear.
Every tiled surface in both rooms sits on a new waterproofing membrane with a 15-year guarantee from handover.
